Laura Milstead
About
Laura Milstead earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond School of Law in 2024, along with a Family Law Certificate in recognition of her focused academic work in the area of family law. Following her first year of law school, Ms. Milstead completed a judicial internship with a Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court judge in Virginia’s 15th Judicial District, the same district where our firm conducts the majority of its legal practice. In her final semester, she served as a Judicial Extern for a judge in the Henrico County Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court.
In addition to her judicial experience, Ms. Milstead participated in the University of Richmond School of Law’s Children’s Defense Clinic, where she represented juveniles facing delinquency charges. She also completed a Domestic Violence Seminar and participated in the university’s No-Fault Divorce Program by providing pro bono assistance to individuals seeking uncontested divorces. Furthermore, she completed law course work during a summer semester at the University of Cambridge in England.
Prior to law school, Ms. Milstead graduated from the University of Mary Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the international honor society recognizing students for graduating in the top of the College of Business class.
Having grown up in the judicial district in which the firm practices, Ms. Milstead is excited to serve the community in which she was raised.
