WalDman Appointed to Board of Zoning Appeals [2010-05-28]

Jarrell, Hicks & Waldman, PC is pleased to announce that the City Council of the City of Spotsylvania has nominated, and the Circuit Court Judges of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit have appointed, founder Barry J. Waldman to serve on the Board of Zoning Appeals for the City of Spotsylvania. The Board of Zoning Appeals serves as an independent review of administrative decisions made by the planning department of the City of Spotsylvania where the applicant disagrees with the decision. Further, the Board of Zoning Appeals is also authorized to grant zoning variances, upon application by land owners, for uses that are non-conforming to underlying zoning of the property in question. Members of the Board of Zoning Appeals in the City of Spotsylvania are nominated by the City Council, after application and interview, and are approved by all of the Circuit Court Judges for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit.
This continues Mr. Waldman's history of service to the City of Spotsylvania. Mr. Waldman previously served as Chairman and member of the Architectural Review Board of the City of Spotsylvania from 2001 to 2009.
