Barry Waldman is the founding attorney of Waldman & Associates, PLLC. Mr. Waldman was the Son of a Navy family and was born at the Keflavik Naval Air Station, Keflavik, Iceland. His family moved soon thereafter to Virginia Beach, Virginia, where Mr. Waldman grew up and graduated from Princess Anne High School.
Barry attended the
University of Virginia and graduated in 1995 with a bachelor’s degree in History and a minor in Urban Planning. Mr. Waldman was active in the Inter-Fraternity Council, was an editorialist for a college newspaper, and a morning drive-time DJ for a radio station.
Upon graduation Mr. Waldman worked as an account representative for a major textile manufacturer, serving clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Under Mr. Waldman’s management, sales grew in his territory by over 400%.
Mr. Waldman attended law school at the
University of Richmond School of Law in Richmond, Virginia. While there, he served as President of the school’s chapter of the American Bar Association, participated in the Child Advocacy Clinic and published two scholarly articles. Mr. Waldman served as the Manuscripts Editor for the Richmond Journal of Law & Technology, the first law journal published exclusively online.
Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Waldman commenced his legal career as an associate attorney with a law firm located in Fairfax, Virginia. In 2000 Mr. Waldman relocated his practice to Fredericksburg working with a highly respected attorney and began to focus his practice on Individual Services and the representation of Small Businesses.
Since 2005 Mr. Waldman has been the founding Member of Waldman & Associates, PLLC, representing hundreds of clients and businesses in the Fredericksburg Area. He has served his community as a Member and Chairman of the Fredericksburg Architectural Review Board, is a member of The Mark Twain Society of Virginia, and has served both the Fredericksburg Area Bar Association and Virginia State Bar in leadership positions.
